About Us
Objects for a
Slower Table.
At toued, we look at the everyday plate from a different angle. Through sculptural silhouettes, expressive glazes and thoughtful surface details, we create pieces designed to bring more character to ordinary moments around the table.
ON THE EVERYDAY PLATE.
A Little More Feeling.
Every Day.
A plate is one of the objects we live with most often, yet it is easy to overlook.
toued began with a simple idea: familiar objects can feel more considered, expressive and personal.
We are drawn to curves inspired by shorelines, soft forms that recall folded paper, botanical textures and colours that can completely change the mood of a table.
Our collection brings those small observations together through distinctive shapes, surfaces and unexpected details.
Three Ideas
We Return To.
Each piece begins differently, but our design language always returns to form, surface and balance.
Start with
the silhouette.
A crescent, a wave, a fold or an organic curve. We begin with a recognisable outline and allow the shape itself to give each piece its identity.
Let colour carry
the mood.
Quiet ivory, deep cobalt, warm terracotta and tactile relief create different moods while allowing every piece to retain its own character.
Make room
for contrast.
Sculptural edges meet quieter centres. Bold colour sits beside softer tones. Contrast gives every design room to breathe.
Nature,
Translated
Into Form.
We look to nature for rhythms rather than replicas. A shoreline can become a moving rim. A pebble can suggest an uneven silhouette. A leaf can become a pattern of branching lines.
These references are simplified, reshaped and reimagined until they become something familiar but slightly unexpected.
Collected,
Rather Than Matched.
We imagine a table built slowly, one favourite piece at a time. A quiet ivory shape beside deep blue. A warm terracotta plate beside something soft and organic.
There is no single correct combination. What connects the pieces is the pleasure of noticing a thoughtful detail in an ordinary moment.
Every plate.
A little unexpected.
Thoughtful forms. Expressive glazes. Everyday objects with a little more presence.
